Having landed on this page you are probably curious to find out which self-proclaimed expert is behind all the big words on this site.

Let me start with the disclaimer:
I am not a trained jeweler with a lot of awards to my name. As a matter of fact, I’m probably much like you, just enjoying making jewelry to the best of my abilities, happy when I manage to create a good solder joint or actually saw in a straight line..

The next question you probably have is “Why do you bother sharing all this stuff?

Well, for some it may seem strange, but I actually get a serious kick out of helping and motivating others to start chasing their dreams of making a living from jewelry work.

I found that by just sharing what I have learned through my own journey chasing my dreams, I can help others get started and at the same time hopefully motivate them to keep going when things get tough.

I started with a dream of making jewelry for a living so I would not have to sell my time for money to some meaningless corporate job.

My name is Henrik, but most of my friends simply call me H. I have a passion for beautiful hand-made jewelry…actually, I have a passion for all beautiful jewelry, period.

I have set up my own jewelry work space and throughout this site I’ll be sharing my experiences and what I have learned in the process.

As mentioned, I am by no means claiming to be an expert in all aspects of jewelry making: what I know I have largely taught myself, learned by trial and error or studied through the myriad of online resources, most of which you can find either on my Pinterest account or on the Resources page of this website.

How am I going to help you? Well, it depends. You see, there are many different entry points to the road of changing your life through jewelry making.

You may have lots of experience making jewelry but are looking for a better way to get your work in front of potential customers. You may be wanting to take your current hobby of making jewelry to a new level and create a business around it…or you could be starting totally from scratch just need help setting up a work space, getting the right tools to get started on making jewelry. No matter your level of experience, you will find something of value on the site.

I am making a serious effort to expand the site by starting to touch on some of the “other” skills required once you have your works space setup. So if you bump into a survey or a question page, help me out and let me know what you want to see next time you visit.

Knowing that in some cases seeing how others do things is motivating and super educational in itself, I am working on getting a training section created that can help us all further develop our skills.

I am keen to hear your feedback and suggestions on what information you would like that can help you get to the next level. Drop me a note on the contact form and let me know what you would like to see on the site.

I have always loved working with my hands and probably chose a totally wrong path when going for a career behind an office desk. I am a keen woodworker as well and as you can see on the Home page I actually built my own bench, which was a big project not without challenges. But more about that on the Jewelry Bench build page.

I really want to help you get started so hopefully you find some inspiration around the many different corners of the site. Enjoy!

Just before I let you go, why don’t you pop in your mail address below so I can put you on the list to get all the news and updates as they happen on the site.
